What is C-2 standard ?
AMI created a process to manufacture low-loss fiber optic cable. The first material (C-1) was an As-Se-Te composite.
The (manufacturing) process was also used to produce fibers, designated C-2, from As2S3 glass. The C-2 fibers cover the wavelength range from the visible through the near infrared, 0.7 - 7 ?m. The C-2 fiber also has the ability to transmit large amounts of laser light.
